Rafiki supports transcription in the following languages:

English, French, Canadian French, Spanish, Latin American, Dutch, Portuguese, German, and Hindi*.

The default transcription language is set to English. You can change the transcription language to French or Spanish from the profile menu. Here's how:

  1. Click on the profile icon on the left pane of Rafiki and select the 'Profile' tab.

    Supported Transcription languages in Profiles
  2. From the 'Language' section dropdown, click on the transcription language and click 'Submit'.

  3. You will get a 'Successfully Updated' message once the transcription language is changed.

Important Note: Changing it in the profile results in all meetings being transcribed for the user in the chosen language.

Want to fix transcription language in a single meeting? See how.

*Note:

  • Right now Rafiki only transcribes English, French, Canadian French, Spanish, Latin American, Dutch, Portuguese, German, and Hindi speech.

  • Rafiki does not provide Topic detection, Search, or other Analytics for non-English languages yet.

  • All menus in the Rafiki App will still be in English. Only the transcription language changes.

  • All meetings will be transcribed (not translated) in the set language for the user.

  • Rafiki does not support multiple languages for the same user.
